Manager, Automation Infrastructure Support
St. Louis Park, MN
Viterra is seeking an experienced individual with a background in electrical technology to join our team in the role of Manager, Automation Infrastructure Support.
The Manager, Automation Infrastructure Support, will be responsible for the reliable, secure and effective operation and management of in-production automation systems for US operating divisions, including grain and processing. The position will direct technical support of automated systems and will be accountable for the development, implementation and management of efficient and consistent maintenance practices for emergency preventive and predictive maintenance functions on all PLC and HMI systems and advanced instrumentation.
The Manager will coordinate and evaluate the services of contracted automation resources, complete infrastructure project planning, direct the evolution of automation hardware infrastructure, and will be relied upon to maintain current knowledge of trends innovations and developments within the industry. The position will also be responsible managing department human resources including employee selection, staff development, and performance management, as well as promoting an environment that fosters teamwork and continuous improvement.
Our ideal candidate will possess a post-secondary degree or certificate in Electrical Technology or will have attained electrical journeyman status. Candidates must have a minimum of ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of progressively responsible experience in agri-business or a related area. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and superior computer skills are required.
